ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Athena!
I’m Lead UX Designer with a background in graphic design and a passion for creating thoughtful, intuitive digital experiences. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in User Experience Design and a minor in Graphic Design, and I’m currently leading design at Wholechain, a blockchain-based supply-chain transparency platform.
I’m drawn to design because it lives at the intersection of empathy and logic — where creativity meets problem-solving. I believe intuitive design starts with understanding real human needs. My approach is to uncover those needs, translate them into clear, meaningful interfaces, and build systems that help people achieve their goals without friction.
Over the last several years, I’ve worked across UX, UI, and design systems — managing sprints, collaborating with developers, and creating structure within fast-moving startup environments. I thrive when bringing order to complexity, whether through a design system, a product flow, or a simple conversation that bridges business goals and user needs.
When I’m not designing, you can usually find me outside — hiking, fishing, or tending to my garden. I love to cook nutritious meals, explore new places, and renovate my home. I’m endlessly curious about art and creativity, and I still make time to paint or play piano whenever I can.
